Frederick is my great uncle. He died at Ypres Salient, Belgium on 11 Oct 1917 during the Passchendaele offensive. There is no known grave but his name is on the Menin Gate, Ypres, which I visited. My sources have been predominantly national archive records (including Red Cross reports), newspaper articles (including photo in The Chronicle 8 Dec 1917), and a family portrait, copy of which I have submitted. Regards, Denise Collins

Frederick Leahy is my paternal Grandfather, unfortunately he never lived to see his son, my Dad Leslie, as he died three days before Leslie was born on 14.10.1917 and Leslie grew up never knowing his Dad. Leslie's Mother was May Gladys Agostini b.16.10.1896-20.01.1983. Regards Sandie Leahy
