No. 615 Private Jacob Roach, 43rd Battalion, born 4 September 1894 at Moonta, SA, and worked as an electrician prior to enlistmnet on 31 October 1914 at Morphettville, served in Egypt and France and returned to Australia on 21 June 1919 aboard 'Karoola'. No. 5851 Signaller James Barkla Roach MM, born 25 March 1896 at Moonta, SA, worked as a clerk prior to enlistment on 6 April at Kadina, served in France, awarded the Military Medal for Bravery in the Field on 27 June 1918, returned to Australia on 29 June 1919 aboard 'Nestor'.
