Sarah Hamilton Page

Born September 1848 Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, Scotland the daughter of Irish weavers John Fairlie and Isabella Hamilton. Arrived in Melbourne, Victoria in the 'SS Great Britain' in February 1869 and then to Adelaide per the 'Aldinga' with her father, step-mother Rebecca Fairlie (nee Barton), some siblings and young half-siblings. Married Alfred Page at North Adelaide April 1875. She died 24 May 1920 and is buried in West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide. Alfred died 20 Jun 1920 and also buried West Terrace Cemetery. This couple were the grandparents of Harold Keith Page, born 22 March 1901 at the Destitute Asylum, Adelaide to Violet Williamson Page (born 1885). However, raised their grandson as their own child.
