a short summary about william
William Gepp Woolcock enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force at Kadina, Yorke Peninsula, on January 1st, 1916 at the age of 23.
William would be educated at Broken Hill District School and upon leaving school, will would enter the local mining industry at North Mine Mill.
William would travel to Southampton and from there his fate would take him to the infamous western front.
William would achieve a military medal and show courageous acts of bravery. However on March 30th 1918, William was stretchering a man to safety when he was fatally wounded by a shell blast.
He would rest peacefully in a Canadian stationary hospital and would later be layed to rest at Doullens,France.
Wills Girlfriend Ethel would honor him by refusing to get re-married.
