Harold Stanley Bates, born Mount Gambier, South Australia, 1890. Enlisted at Keswick, South Australia, 21 May 1915. 27th Infantry Battalion, Served Gallipoli. Transferred to 32nd Infantry Battalion 13 March 1916. Served France. Wounded in action 19 July 1917. Killed in action March 1918.
