My grandfather was in the first world war with that number 2221.
This was general search from Family history.
We know he was injured it looks as though he had befriended some person in while convalescing in England. I understand this may be undeliverable letter at the time? What year date is on the letter.

Hello Brian,
If you click on the 'All documents' button under the three images from the packet above you will see all of the correspondence in the packet. Mrs. C Robinson dated her enquiry letter about Cecil Moss 30 June 1919 and the Bureau wrote back on 25 August 1919 that they could not trace Moss without further details.
