4754 Private (Pte) George Franklin Noble, No. 3 Australian General Hospital, of Grange, SA. A plasterer prior to enlisting in January 1915, Pte Noble embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Wandilla (A62) on 15 June 1915. He was attached to the 8th Field Ambulance in France in February 1917. Pte Noble died in England of pneumonia on 13 November 1918. He was 22 years of age. Pte Noble's brother, 5419 Pte Alan Campbell Noble, 10th Battalion, died on 9 May 1917 of wounds received in action in France.
