Walters real surname was Corkran. This is confirmed in his army files

Thanks Bryan. We have used the war service records at the National Archives of Australia as our authority for names and Walter's record there mostly uses the spelling Cochrane although there are some inconsistencies. I have put a note in to Walter’s record to indicate he was also known as Corkran, so he will be found on the website by users using either spelling.
