Ernest Theodore John Ivy.
Service Number 3937. Private - 27th Infantry Battalion - AIF 7th Brigade - 2nd Division - Unley's Own.
Signaller - Corps Cyclist.
Ernest was born on the 30th April 1897 in Coleraine, Victoria....later of Marriott Street, Solomontown, South Australia.
He was a Cabinetmaker prior to his enlistment at Keswick, South Australia on the 27th October 1915 - aged 18.
He embarked on the HMAT Miltiades A28 on the 7th February 1916. He served in Egypt, France and Belgium and returned home in June 1919.
He died in 1967 - Aged 70.
