Private Charles Henry William Alp, was born in Weymouth, England, in March 1896. He enlisted at Keswick, South Australia, on 15 May 1915, and served with the 51st Battalion in Egypt and France. He was killed in action in France in April 1917.

Charles was my mother's half brother from her father's first marriage, although he was killed when she was a young child and I believe didn't know him. Neither did she know his sister Clara Matilda. I would be pleased to supply any little information I have.
